Library Rules

Silence and an atmosphere of study must be observed in the library at all times.

  • Books are issued on a library card. It is for the librarian to decide when not to issue certain books if circumstances demand so.
  • The library book may be kept for seven days. A book may be issued for less than seven days if there is a heavy demand for it.
  • A fine of Rs. 10/- per book, per day including Sundays and holidays will be charged if books are returned after due date.
  • Reference books are to be studied in the library during the library period. These may not be borrowed. However here again the Librarian may use his/her discretion, depending on the need and utility of the book. A fine will be levied if the book is not returned by the due date.
  • Any tampering with the book or damaging it, in any way will invite a severe penalty.
